This time I headed for Fox Island with computer generated directions. While they tried to misplace me going to writers night, they didn't fail today. I found Fox Island without difficulty. And I saw the lighthouse before I crossed the bridge.

It's a little run down, and it looks as if it were built for show rather then a real aid to navigation. I took a few pictures with my, recently repaired Minolta {"Yea!"}, but discovered that Juli had all of the other lens attachments in her camera bag. I had all of the Chinnon attachments in mine. Oh well. I knew I'd have to go back and bring Juli with me anyway.

The other lighthouse is on the north spit of the mouth of Gig Harbor. Spit is a good word. You can spit across the channel to the other side. It's an awfully small harbor mouth for the size of the harbor. It took a few pictures of this tiny light beacon, but to get good shots my take a kayak rental. ...and consideration of the currents.

But what of dirt you ask? I spent the afternoon weeding out our garden bed so I could find the dirt. I pulled out the annuals for two years ago. They keep coming back.

Eddie gets to go to the dentist tomorrow. No food for him tonight.
