Dinner

It doesn't take long to write morning pages anymore. I used to give myself thirty minutes, but now I get them done in ten. It's not a race, it's just that the ideas are coming so fast now. It's a start.

One of the things that came up, which I had completely forgotten, was that I was going to cook up [livejournal.com profile] julesong's stroganoff recipe for dinner tonight. As soon as I was through writing I printed up the recipe and went shopping. While I didn't follow one of my rules thou shalt get all that damn copping done before you start to cook or thy mess will be hellish! I did manage to pull off a good meal. Thank you [livejournal.com profile] julesong. Finger lickin' good.

It's a good thing I remembered too. Wife Juli[sans 'e'] tells me I was making points today at her store. And getting more spouses ticked off at me. They were complaining that they had to come up with dinner when they got home, and Juli tells them she's probably going to have stroganoff waiting for her.

"Oh," says one, and turns to a new associate. "She has such a cute husband who cooks her dinner and surprises her and..."
"grumble grumble" say some others.

There are going to be torches and pitchforks at our doorstep if I keep this up.
