Page after Page
Apr. 3rd, 2002 12:22 pmOver a year ago, August 2000 actually, I started a creative regimen called "Morning Pages". The idea is to write three pages of random thoughts first thing in the morning. They have to be free hand and not in a computer. The principle being that if you write free hand you're connecting your thought processes to the motion of your hand.
I kept that up through August of 2001. The result was that I returned to school. In the process of writing the morning pages I got to thinking about what directions I could take, and going to SVC was the result. After I made that decision I let the pages go in favor of getting some sleep in the morning.
Now I need to look again into the directions my life is taking. This morning I found time to write the pages again. It was kind of refreshing to get back into it, and it's rather exciting to wonder where it will take me this time.
