I've been waking up early lately. A couple of days ago I forgot to set my clock and woke up on time anyway, 6:00am. I've started experiencing some energy what with the workouts I've been getting. That's typical of weight work. Same as with my appetite slacking off and loosing weight. Something in my brain says "That's all the food you need now. Let's get going."

I've spent the morning spinning disks in my computer CD. This new AGP graphics card has usurped Media Player. It actually sounds better.

Actually I've spent the morning working on our house accounts and my personal accounts. [Yes, Juli and I maintain our own separate accounts.] I'd like to be outside in this grate weather, but there's nothing out there I need to do... okay, I could mow the lawn. It' hasn't seen a lawn mower since September.

I heard an NPR segment on the stage play "The Graduate" in which they talked a lot about the movie. Some interesting things came up, like what was planned and what just happened. The camera shot that became the movie poster of the kid under Mrs. Robinson's knee was just a quick "yeah, that looks good. Take that one and then set up over there." And the very end of the movie where the two kids are riding off in the bus and they get this "OMG what now?" look on their faces, the one that's so famous and caused a lot of philosophical speculation, was actually the director and the camera man running out the rest of the film in the can. The two actors ran out of lines, there was nothing to look at, and they got this, "okay, what now?" look on their faces.

Okay, so... now that I've heard some bits and pieces of Simon & Garfunkle music played at me on NPR I have to play it for myself now. It's good Spring/Summer music. Takes me back to my college days, even though S&G came out long before my college days. Eh? Who cares. It's timeless. I don't know if anyone else has noticed... Since Rock sorta turned 50 the other day it would seem that we have an incredibly large audio library that spans.. what.. is a generation 20 years or 10? 2 and 1/2 to 5 generations. some of it from the 60s is getting covered and popular now. Smashmouth's 'I'm a Believer', for example, was original made popular by The Monkeys and was in turn written for them by Neil Diamond. Go figure.

I wonder how long Rock will hold sway? Does the world need to wait until the BabyBoomers move off this mortal coil? It seems to me the X'rs, now in their 30's, have a claim to Rock. Maybe Rock will become so diverse that it's classification will fracture into numerous more segments than it has today, and simply leave the classification "Rock" behind.

hmmmmmm
